Both plans have similar goals. In a RRSP you essentially put money into a savings plan over your years of employment giving you the opportunity to generate income for your enjoyment in your retirement years. In a RLEP you incorporate life style changes (e.g. diet, exercise, stress management, nutrient supplements, quit smoking , etc) throughout your life cycle which can reward you with good health in your retirement years. You know the famous quote: "adding years to your life and life to your years "
There are some fundamental differences between the 2 plans. The main one being when you start the plan. In the case of RLEP the start is much earlier with contributions even before you start generating income. Indeed the RLEP plan begins from the time of conception. For example if your mother drinks alcohol during a critical time period during the first trimester you could suffer from fetal alcohol syndrome. If she smokes during her pregnancy you could be born prematurely with its many hazards. If your mother is a smoker and you are breast fed, you could also be deficient in Vitamin C because smoking depletes the body of vitamin C - an anti-stress vitamin which some researches say may be linked to SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). If that occurred you would of course not even reach those golden years of retirement to enjoy your RLEP.
I plan to detail on my web site the plan and/or programs for RLEP - throughout the stages of the entire human life cycle. Keep reading this blog - docSam Blog - to discover some of my theories and links related to life extension and anti-aging - or visit my website SBH.
