I am still experimenting with how to compose an iWeb video and making some adjustments to my work area. I have added a 2 shelf book case to my work bench and attached a 3x4 foot cork board behind me to use as my background for my iSight Photo. Unfortunately, the cork board is set too high. I lowered the board using a short chain so that it does not show the filing cabinet behind me. The black section of the cabinet happens to occur right at the level of my neck. It was either lower the cork board or place a sheet over it. Now that it is in place, I think the cork board looks excellent.
Another thing I did was to use an angle bracket to secure the 2 shelf filing cabinet so that it does not fall forward onto my Leopard computer. I had some difficulty in inserting the screws but solved the problem by using square-headed screws instead of screws with slots. I mentioned to my son Steve that I thought the guy who invented this type of screw was a genius. Steve informed me that he was Canadian.
So now the background is all set to record podcasts using my built-in iSight camera. I went to iWeb and dragged the widget for iSight camera to the image replaced it and then snapped a picture of myself.
After 3,2,1, seconds Presto a picture of me. It looks terrific! You can see no black margins of the steel cabinet. It's full speed ahead for iWeb!
