My New Computer

I now have a 24 inch Leopard desk model computer. On his recent spring/09 trip to Winnipeg Sam Jr set up the airport extreme wireless. Steve connected my printer Canon 3000 to this box so that all computers including Steve's Microsoft ones can now use it wirelessly for printing. Informed by Apple that effective July 07/09 I have to use the account to create a new homePage.

I began recording on digital video tapes using my Sony HD camcorder some of my analog 8 and super 8 movie films from the 1950s and 60s and on our recent April/09 trip to Toronto our daughter Marusia downloaded some of these short videos. Most of my spare time is devoted to learning how to use some of the 100's of new gadgets on this latest version of Mac. Steve recently gave me his iPod after first transferring my 28,000 plus photos to it as well as many of my iTunes.

Not surprising much of my spare time used for writing my memoirs and/or going through the many boxes of memos etc is presently on hold. Hopefully I can return to these tasks shortly . This diversion, however, has not deterred me from reading the medical literature and passing comments on what I have labeled as "shortfalls of our current medical practice "- as my next blog will show.

I think I have commented elsewhere the reason why I have shifted these comments from "Letters to the editor " to my blogs. Briefly it is because the press never seems to acknowledge and/or publish them
