Today my daughter and I opened up each others iDisk and exchanged some documents and saw some of the other benefits of viewing folders, sharing documents, editing, as well as transferring files that where too large for emails. Now we can see each other's files by connecting to shared folders "in the cloud". These folders also have a security component not present in emails.
We even did some iChat though unfortunately I could not see my daughter because at the time I bought my iMac G5 I did not realize that it did not have an isight camera - I have not forgiven the Mac dealer for not informing me of this at the time. Anyway the moneys we will save by not having to visit between Toronto and Winnipeg will more than pay for the subscription for MobileMe. And the courier services we eliminate.
